The course deals with quantitative UV- visible spectrometry and their instrumentation. Colorimetry, emission spectroscopy including theory of fluorescence, phosphorescence, different relaxation processes, and study factors affecting fluorescence, quantitative fluorescence, instrumentation and applications will be covered. The course will also address flame spectroscopy including flame emission and atomic absorption, Electrochemistry including conductometry, potentiometry and polarography, in addition to different methods of chromatographic separation including GC, TLC, and HPLC.
