This course will help students to develop both the knowledge and skills that enable them to understand, describe and deal with the chemistry of volatile oils, and carbohydrates of both plant and animal origin. The course also offers the primary and advanced methods of chromatography that are currently used for isolation, as well as, qualitative and quantitative determination of biologically active compounds. The course will enable the students to analyze different classes of secondary metabolites using different chromatograohic techniques.
